50th anniversary edition of NeoCon in Chicago is on the way, the largest American fair of contract furniture. Take a look at some of the novelties presented by our partners.

NeoCon fair is held each year in the legendary Merchandise Mart, dating back to 1930. Today the art deco building is a space for over 500 companies presenting new furniture and solutions, designed in response to current trends.

 

The Haworth showroom designed by Patricia Urquiola, who is the brand’s creative director, showcases new products: Soji office chair (design: Arne Dassen), Maari chair (design: Patricia Urquiola) and Cultivate table (design: Dan West) as well as various types of office space landscape.

This year Haworth has created an online app where you can visit the showroom virtually.

Nowość: budka akustyczna Framery 2Q

Framery, Finnish manufacturer of acoustic booths has for the first time showed its new model 2Q. It’s a pod perfect for meetings. It’s twice as large as Framery Q. Thanks to a quiet and efficient air conditioning system, carefully designed detail and LED lighting, it’s a good environment for meetings including 4-6 persons.

Vitra focused on projects by Bouroullec brothers (Cyl, Joyn, Alcove, Belleville).

Kolekcja Workshop, projekt: Cecilie Manz dla Muuto

Muuto, due to a recent transaction (a few months ago the Scandinavian company was bought by the Knoll group, thus opening new business opportunities in America) has prepared a furniture exhibition described as “resimercial” (“residential” connected with “commercial”). It includes Workshop (designed by Cecilie Manz) and Enfold (designed by Thomas Bentzen) collections.

Arper promotes the Kiik collection (designed by Iwasaki studio), which was warmly received in Milan. Performance on the American market is set to be equally good, especially since the new collection received NeoCon Award granted by Metropolis Magazine. Bla Station also received this award for modular Bob sofa (designers: Stefan Borselius and Thomas Bernstrand).

Italian Luceplan presents a new acoustic lighting collection „The Lights of Silence”. Similarly, Belgian BuzziSpace, which apart from lamps has a broad portfolio of acoustic products (chairs, pouffes, wall panels). Most interest is placed on BuzziHat (designer: Alain Gilles). The hat-shaped lamp has various sizes (height: from 28 cm to 62 cm, with a fixed radius of 52 cm), and its modular construction allows for creating diverse combinations of colours and fabrics.
