Novelties from Bolon now at Lipova Showroom in Warsaw! Including new collection by Jean Nouvel Design and Bolon Studio Wave.
Designed by Mac Stopa for Capellini, Drum is a tribute to hexagonal drum pads from the '80s. The visual impact of geometric configurations turns into the designs of an armchair that can be arranged in a composition game of modular elements to accommodate any seating configuration for large open spaces, along with a coffee table that can be converted into a pouf and a high table. The sculptural forms of the armchair are padded in multi-density polyurethane foam that ensures maximum comfort without limiting the aesthetic impact of the object.
Now at Dobra Showroom - Urban Fabric Rugs are based on scale maps extruded and meticulously cut out of handtufted or hand-knotted wool and silk. They are soft city models, as instructive to touch as to view. There is a seriousness to the work—the city plans are very accurate— and, at the same time, an element of fun in their fuzzy tactility. Conceived of by Łukasz Kos and Andrei Zerebecky from Four O Nine. Among the cities are Milan, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Barcelona and Paris. The latter graces our Dobra Showroom!
BOLON LAUNCHES A NEW FLOORING COLLECTION DESIGNED BY PRITZKER PRIZE-WINNING ARCHITECT JEAN NOUVEL
Our partner Bolon has unveiled its latest collaboration – a flooring concept designed by Pritzker Prize-winning French architect Jean Nouvel.
With its clean material expression and flexible application, the collection Bolon by Jean Nouvel Design is an architectdriven flooring concept comprised of six colour signatures. A departure from Bolon’s typically designer-driven flooring, this architectural edition was conceived with spatiality in mind. The result is a flooring with a textural, hand-woven effect created of woven vinyl in combinations of black, grey, red and blue.
“The freedom is yours to use the flooring to play with color and light, and engage the windows of the space,” says Jean Nouvel. “It is not a decorative carpet, but an architectural floor.”
Jean Nouvel came to prominence in the 1980s, with groundbreaking projects like the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris and the Cultural and Conference Center in Lucerne, Switzerland. World-class projects followed, establishing Nouvel as one of the great architects of the century, and in 2008, he was awarded the coveted Pritzker Prize.
“Jean is not a designer–– he is first and foremost an architect. He began the project by assessing the space, and suiting the flooring to the spatial needs of the project”, Annica Eklund CEO at Bolon explains.
This collaboration marks Bolon’s first ever architect-driven flooring concept and directly addresses the concerns of architects in its concept and execution. Color panes make it possible to have complete control and flexibility within the interior. The flooring amplifies the interior geometry, making it possible to experiment with the layout and the natural circulation within an interior space.
Finnish company Framery has created a product which took the furniture market by storm - acoustic phone booths which are the perfect solution in noisy surroundings such as open spaces in offcies. Framery booths are equipped with ventilation, electric sockets and LED lighting. Available in single and twin versions and different colours. If you're interested in testing how it works, please come to Dobra Showroom!
We would like to present our stand at Smart Buildings & Smart Cities Conference in Copernicus Science Center! It featured acoustic booths by Orangeox and Framery, Bolon floorings, as well as furniture by Haworth and +HALLE furniture. Robert Mokosch, Hworth Workplace Strategist, explained how to create an office space which is adjusted to employees' needs and the company identity.
Together with Haworth we had the pleasure of organising a debate "Work Better, Not Harder" with a lecture on trends in modern offices given by Stephen Searer, founder of officesnapshots.com. Apart from Stephen Searer, the discussion panel consisted of Robert Mokosch (Haworth), dr Paweł Morawski (Philips Lighting), Maciej Markowski (Cushman & Wakefield) and Kamil Ciukszo (CISCO). We would like to thank all the panelists, as well as guests who attended the event!
We are pleased to present the new Haworth collection in Dobra Showroom! Sofa, poufs and acoustic screen were created by famous designer Patricia Urquiola. You can see them in Leszczyńska 4 Street in Warsaw!

Salone del Mobile 2015 by Marro - we invite you to take a look at the amazing stands of our partners in Milan! We are still greatly impressed by what we saw at this year's fair. See you next year!
Inspired by the timeless mystery of our oceans, Flow highlights design fluidity, visual motion and soft pastel shades. Together with Flow comes Scale - the new Bolon Studio shape which brings to mind sea waves or a fish scale. The new collection is showcased in our Lipova Showroom!
We had the pleasure of visiting Stockholm Furniture Fair, which was a truly inspiring feast of creative ideas. Without a doubt, one of the most important events of this year's edition was the premiere of the new Bolon collection - Flow. It was the centerpiece of not only Bolon's own stand, but also in the Design Bar zone.
We met many of our friends and partners, in the wonderful stands of Hay, Lammhults, Vitra, Cane-line or Blå Station among others. The latter presented, among others, the new Poppe chair (pictured). It is an unusually narrow yet comfortable chair, which can be described as classic Oppa chair's distant cousin.
We are very happy that the official Lipova Showroom opening was such a success and that so many of our friends attended! Among the distinguished guests where Bolon owners, Annica and Marie Eklund; Patrick Guntzburger, Managing Director at Vitra International; Ulrick Bloch Nielsen, Regional Sales Manager Eastern Europe; Bogdan Rogala, Regional Sales Manager at Philips Lighting Eastern Europe and Rosi Guadagno, PR & Communications Manager at Luceplan. Among the evening's attractions was a mapping show by Paweł Przybył. We would like to thank our neighobours, restaurants SAM and BTW, for helping to organise the event.
