With great pleasure we have returned to intimate meetings with architects. In our Lipowa showroom, together with our partners: Bolon, Comforty, Italvelutti Polska and Ton, we presented new collections and solutions for contract interiors.
Jacek Zdybel, Ton Polska CEO, told about novelties presented in Milan. The first is the P.O.V. (Point of View) collection, designed by German studio kaschkasch. Stools and tables are distinguished by organic shapes. How they are perceived depends on… point of view. Tables are available in two heights, three types of bases and six shapes of table-tops. In total, this system offers dozens of possibilities which make it a perfect fit for any kind of interior – offices, canteens, cafes and restaurants. The collection is complemented by a stackable stool and available in three kinds of wood: beech, oak, and American walnut. They can all be finished in various colours.

A collection of seating furniture 822 is the second novelty. It was created together with the Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune.. It draws inspiration from the modernist A811 model, designed by Josef Hoffmann in 1930. The effect is a vivid, contemporary version of chairs, easy chairs, tables, lounge chairs and stools with two heights. – History of bentwood furniture is evolution rather than revolution. We have designed the 822 collection in order to continue this story so that it lasts through generations – they say.
Paweł Kubara, Design Manager Comforty, focused on the company bestsellers. They include models by excellent Polish designers: Maja Ganszyniec and Jan Kochański.
Hillrock by Maja Ganszyniec is a seating system designed for offices and other public spaces. The advanced set of modules allows for introducing new arrangements in contemporary interiors. Combining elements allows for creating vast and multifunctional sets. Configuring models is easy and intuitive thanks to their simple construction.
Calder (designed by Jan Kochański) is a collection including a chair a double-sitter bench and a small, compact chair. A study of shape and detail, made possible by a technology of forming plywood in different layers, allowed for creating a soft, inviting backseat. Its slightly unorthodox proportions allows for a comfortable sitting experience in all kinds of positions, even for tall persons.
The collection incorporates highest-quality materials: solid, oak wood of carefully carved and warm armrests or steel elements galvanized in copper and brass.
The chair variants allow for an end result which can serve various purposes. As a result, this piece of furniture will be an excellent fit both at home or in the office. Calder will surely be noticed in any interior. Its scale and exquisite details, depending on the selection of fabrics and colours, will fit well into a hotel lobby or other public spaces.
Representatives of Italvelutti Polska presented a rich offer of contract fabrics/ Italvelutti is the owner of several brands offering fabrics for public spaces:
ABITEX offers slow burning materials meeting all kinds of standard industry norms. Fabrics, jacquards, wools, eco-leather, acoustic materials, curtains and slow burning hangings can be used in projects in Poland and other global markets.
ITALSENSO and PERSEMPRA: a “mainstream” range of easy to clean materials with high durability, various textures and colours. They are a good fit both for private and commercial projects. A vast majority of materials from these collections meet the fire resistance norm which is required in Poland (EN 1021 part 1, so called cigarette test).
DEUS is a line consisting of “succulent” nubuck type materials. Those fabrics are very easy to clean and available in around 100 various colours. Without the need for additional impregnation, the material meets the fire resistance standards, both EN1021 part 1 (the aforementioned cigarette test) and EN 1021 part 2 (so called match test). As a result, the fabrics are often used in medium-high and premium segments.
Our presentation of novelties was complemented by the new Bolon collection, we have written about it here.
We wish to thank all our guests and partners – next meeting is scheduled after holidays!
