Teal House is a place where refugees from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia can take part in initiatives including theatre studio for teenagers, after-school education for children, yoga and meditation classes, film showings, concerts, lectures and discussions on scientific, ecological and spiritual topics and international evenings with learning about the cultures of different peoples and countries. We have been Ivan Vyrypaev’s friends for many years so we didn’t want to miss the meeting with Mikhail Baryshnikov. We visited Teal House together with Maksim Woitiul, the first dancer of Polish National Ballet.
Mikhail Baryshnikov is one of the finest dancers of the XX century and an actor who received an Oscar nomination. He was born in Riga, in the 70s he received a political asylum in the USA. Today he is leading a center for young artists in New York.
