Designed by Geckeler Michels for Blå Station, Soma begins with a bold thesis: 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = ∞. With just two frames, two foam moulds, two slipcovers, two tables, the system offers almost endless configurations. Designed from the start with integrated slipcovers, it balances usability and sustainability.

Cushions take inspiration from soft bulbous shapes: the characteristic bends give a jolly, playful twist while retaining serious, timeless proportions. Few parts deliver high flexibility, keeping the system efficient and competitively priced, while comfort meets contract-level standards with a homey feel.

The collection’s uniqueness lies in its low index of components and maximum possibilities. Removable slipcovers combine practical advantages with a crisp, fixed-upholstery look. Disassembly is easy at end-of-life, and covers can be refreshed or replaced to extend lifespan.

Soma adapts naturally to both residential and public interiors, forming classic L-shaped sofas or structuring lounges, waiting areas, and collaborative spaces. It suits those who value casual comfort without compromising performance.

Blå Station, with its expertise in upholstery and openness to modular, playful solutions, provides the natural context for Soma, a sofa that moves seamlessly between worlds.
