Each year there is a one of a kind “district celebration” with an international range. This year’s 11th edition cemented Clerkenwell Design Week’s position as a leading, independent design festival in Great Britain. Diverse community creates a rich programme of events: apart from presentations prepared by global brands and installations by independent artists there are numerous open-doors events and meetings.

Always when we are in London we visit Battersea Power Station – a part of the city with a fascinating past and potentially even more fascinating future.

In peak moment Battersea generated 1/5 of electrical energy in London. After several decades of decline, the area is today refurbished. The scale of the project suggests that investors and architects aim at creating a new London landmark.

We observe the works with great curiosity and a hint of jealousy, admiring the scope of the project, in which design and art have had their place from the outset.
