Dezeen magazine selected 8 design brands which not only mention environmental concerns in marketing publications but above all, undertake genuine actions to this end. Bolon, whom we represent in Poland, is one of the selected companies. What can we learn from the floorings manufacturer with regards to sustainable development?

Dezeen awarded points for, among others, local production (Ulricehamn in southern Sweden). In this way Bolon limits long distance transport, thus reducing carbon footprint. The majority of suppliers are located within the radius of around 40 kilometres from the production plant. The factory itself is powered solely by renewable energy.

The company also recycles its own floorings as well as other companies’ waste and uses them in the production process (all Bolon products are up to 33% recycled). Since 2014 Bolon floorings are free from toxic substances (such as phtalates) and have a 15 year warranty.

We invite you to our Bolon showroom in Lipowa 7A (in Powiśle, next to SAM). We also recommend one of the brand’s newest projects: ArTree Hotel in Taiwan where ecology meets natural form (photos above).
