Bolon’s sustainability work

Bolon has decided not to have a green collection. All its flooring contains BIO-sourced PVC, recycled PVC and recycled chalk. This adds up to 68% waste material with 0% climate impact in every square meter, and Bolon still has the most premium design flooring on the market.

All Bolon manufacturing takes place in its factory in Ulricehamn, Sweden. The whole factory is a dry plant – no liquids are used except water for humidifiers. The factory has a closed cooling system with no additives and no water consumption. Bolon uses only renewable and certified electricity, making the entire production climate-neutral. The solar panels on the roof cover 25% of the annual demand.

Great design should be circular, that’s why all Bolon flooring and rugs are produced with 68% recycled material. To ensure that this material continues to be recycled, Bolon has introduced Back2Bolon. This take-back programme allows your old Bolon flooring and rugs to be responsibly returned, recycled and transformed into new Bolon products. Bolon has its own recycling plant at the factory in Sweden, where old products get a new life. Together, we close the loop and prove that recycled material is the new normal in design.
