Set within the historic Residence Palace, the refurbishment balanced architectural heritage with the demands of a modern office where acoustics play a crucial role.

Color-Coded Spaces with Purpose

Each room features a distinct theme colour, reflecting the diverse topics discussed within the organization. This approach creates visual identity, improves spatial orientation, and subtly defines zones for focused work, meetings, and collaborative dialogue.

The result is a workplace that feels intuitive, engaging, and aligned with the Lisbon Council’s culture of openness and exchange.

Acoustic Design at the Core

To enhance comfort without compromising the historic interior, BuzziSpace acoustic solutions were carefully integrated throughout the space:

BuzziChip — acoustic lighting that reduces reverberation while adding visual rhythm

BuzziFold — flexible acoustic panels supporting zoning and sound absorption

BuzziWrap Desk — desk-mounted acoustic solutions improving focus and speech privacy

BuzziBracks — acoustic brackets that define space and enhance overall sound control

Together, these elements create a layered acoustic environment that supports both deep concentration and meaningful discussion.

A Workplace Designed for People

The redesigned Lisbon Council office showcases how acoustic comfort, thoughtful colour selection, and human-centric design can enhance the workplace experience. The result is a calm, adaptable environment that supports productivity, well-being, and collaboration.
