Akunok—a quiet corner that fosters peace, reflection, and relaxation

Akunok, the new acoustic furniture concept by Abstracta and Polish designer Maja Ganszyniec, ambitiously tackles two of the biggest challenges facing many of today’s workplaces. The first is to create better soundscapes that promote well-being and job satisfaction. The second is to offer employees secluded, quiet smaller areas where they can focus on their work in comfort, either alone or in small groups. It is a furniture concept perfect for hybrid meetings, informal conversations, and focused work.

Richter Collection Wins Two Awards at NeoCon 2026

The Richter Collection by Prostoria received two major international awards at this year's NeoCon in Chicago. The VR61 product family won the Best of NeoCon 2026 Innovation Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions on the North American design scene, while the Richter Collection as a whole was honoured with the 2026 HiP Award presented by Interior Design magazine. The Best of NeoCon and HiP Awards represent important international recognition not only for individual products, but also for the Revisiting Richter project, through which Prostoria has brought the furniture designs of Vjenceslav Richter into contemporary production for the first time. Both awards were presented during NeoCon, the leading furniture and interiors trade fair in the United States.

Bolon’s sustainability work

Sustainability isn’t just something Bolon says. It’s what it does. Bolon started production in 1949 with a bold idea: to produce woven rugs from waste material. The ABLE family by Blå Station continues to expand without losing its purpose or sustainability focus. Introducing a table that doesn’t overpower a room yet still carries a strong presence. It allows you to either soften or emphasize its expression through your choice of colours and size. A die‑cast zinc knot that is shared with the other members of the ABLE family, along with steel tubing creates clear intersections between materials and construction.

Beyond the shape: seating as a gesture of connection. In the world of design, every gesture carries meaning. The choice of a material, the intensity of a curve, the precision of a detail – all these elements help define a project that doesn’t merely fulfil a function but creates an experience. This is the approach that Sylvain Willenz has brought to his collaboration with Italian company Arrmet: a meeting point between formal research and the human side of design. The Cèpe collection takes shape through an organic modularity, capable of adapting to various spaces and design styles.
