Rstudio for Architecture have renovated Väla Centrum’s food court, creating a split level space for shoppers to relax and enjoy cuisine from different countries. BAUX designs have been used throughout the space to improve acoustics and create a dynamic landscape with colour, pattern and textural variations.

Summit: A mount-like structure at play

Every so often a new piece of furniture is created, adhering to principles of classic space-defining, yet delivering something bold and unconfined. Norwegian designers at Snøhetta have achieved just that, introducing Summit—a multi-level, modular, seat—as a response to Danish design brand +Halle’s second Annual Briefing on the theme of sharing.

FLUGT Refugee Museum

Soft Edge Chair and Pyramid Café Table, among others, featured in FLUGT Refugee Museum, Denmark’s new international museum for refugee stories. The museum turns statistics into people and conveys the universal issues, emotions and all the complex details associated with the plight of being a human being on the run.

Retro table

Plissé by the Italian company MIDJ was born from the collaboration with Paola Navone, a collection of tables with an elegant, light and informal presence. In a slightly ironic way, Plissé pays homage to the world of fashion and the iconic pleated workmanship, so much in vogue in the 50s and 60s, and still trendy in fashion today: the base represents the distinctive feature of the collection. It is the element that captures the attention and gives character to the design.
