Together with Polish Institute of Work Environment we had the pleasure to organise an industry breakfast. PIWE is a project by a group of specialists working on shaping the work environment. Among them are Karina Kreja, Karolina Dudek and Wojciech Krupa. The founders say – we have created PIWE to initiate a positive change and influence the way in which work spaces are arranged.
Main themes of our Autumn meeting were: diversity and… mistakes. Zofia Hejduk (CEO, Design Director, Hejduk Architekci) told about the most frequent mistakes made during designing office spaces.
We focused on diversity. It’s a key word, ever-present in many industry reports and trendbooks (e.g. report by JLL and Skanska „Diversity in the workplace, how to deliver future proof offices?”).
How to use it for space design? How can architects and contractors create environments where people have the right to be themselves?
With these questions we begin a series of articles dealing with various aspects of diversity in the work place.
