This difficult question, posed recently by Shopping Center Magazine, was a perfect opportunity to reflect on our everyday work and look from a broader perspective at the relationship we have with our customers. Both investors and architects are our customers so we operate in a triangle of sorts.
What constitutes the role and responsilbility of the project contractor? How to meet the arising challenges?
All-important are diversity, elasticity and… listening. A good contractor understands the needs of all sides. It’s important that, should need arise, a contractor is able to find a solution in keeping with both the investor’s budget and the architect’s instructions while retaining the spirit of the project.
