Are there projects without challenges, bold decisions, difficult conversations? No. That’s why it’s key that there is a mutual understanding within the investor, architect and contractor triangle. What kind of cooperation culture is needed by the partners so that the results are as good as possible?

This difficult question, posed recently by Shopping Center Magazine, was a perfect opportunity to reflect on our everyday work and look from a broader perspective at the relationship we have with our customers. Both investors and architects are our customers so we operate in a triangle of sorts.

What constitutes the role and responsilbility of the project contractor? How to meet the arising challenges?

All-important are diversity, elasticity and… listening. A good contractor understands the needs of all sides. It’s important that, should need arise, a contractor is able to find a solution in keeping with both the investor’s budget and the architect’s instructions while retaining the spirit of the project.
