This year’s Warsaw Home Expo fair is over. On over 400 square metres we have presented the newest and most interesting solutions for contract spaces: offices, coworking spaces and hotels. Of course, Cappellini icons caused a lot of interest. However, our guests were also equally happy to discover our other brands: Haworth solutions for modern offices, Bolon floorings (as well as something new – Bolon rugs), Framery phone booths and acoustic pods as well as original design by Blå Station.

Biophilic design solutions were also popular: Green LIV greenery systems and acoustic objects by Polish brand Nyquista, as well as Danish system of modular shelves GRID and designer lighting Catellani & Smith.

Together with our partners we were also a part of Design Forum – a side event where industry experts shared their insights and visions for the future.

Giulio Cappellini, icon of Italian design and art director of the brand Cappellini (which belongs to Haworth group) told about connections between design and business, how the industry changed during the previous 40 years and about intuition for good design.

Jonas Pettersson, CEO of the interdisciplinary studio Form Us With Love shared his principles for sustainable future which are adhered to by his studio. He puts a particular emphasis on the issue of materials which, thanks to new technologies and a change in thinking, can significantly contribute to decreasing the negative effect on the environment. Pettersson’s presence in Poland was connected to the Nest collection, designed by FUWL for +Halle (to be viewed at our Dobra Showroom). Sofas, tables and chairs with various heights (standard, heightened, and “bar-sized”) can be used to create dynamic arrangements – that’s one of the reasons why Nest is a good solution in coworking spaces.

Our final speaker, Ilkka Kaikuvuo, cofounder and head of R&D at Framery showed the results of global research on office space. One of his observations leads to the conclusion that conference rooms of today are not efficiently used. Several years ago they were designed with around a dozen users in mind. Today, due to changes in working styles and technologies allowing for remote working, 80% of meetings are held within 3-4 persons’ groups. That’s why the change of a conference room’s function and replacing it with a spacious booth (Framery offers booths for up to 4-6 persons) allows for space optimisation.

We would like to thank you for all – serious and sometimes less serious – conversations. We invite you to Powiśle, especially since next to Lipowa and Dobra we have opened a new space.
