Artists seldom leave theatre but this time they opted for an experiment in which we were happy to participate. In the new Marro space in Powiśle we held a rehearsal of the play “Osy” (“Wasps”) written and directed by Ivan Vyrypaev, Starring: Magdalena Boczarska, Dariusz Chojnacki and Marcin Dorociński.

„Osy” by Iwan Wyrypajew is a drama between three characters. One believes in God, second believes in nothing and the third only in psychotherapy.

Why “Wasps of summer sting us even in November”? How to interpret this sentence, repeated on numerous occasions throughout the play? Perhaps the best hint comes from Krystyna Janda, who suggested during the discussion that our need to explain everything logically does not always bring the expected results.

Why the idea of a theatre outside of theatre? – Browarna is our third address in Powiśle. While the other two – Lipowa and Dobra – are spaces for our everyday, business activity, Browarna is a fruit of different ambitions and dreams – explains Robert Pełka, Marro CEO – My dream is to create a space free from professional, commercial matters. A place where we don’t have to know everything. A place where various people, experiences and backgrounds can meet. – just like tonight.

We invite you to see the play in theatre!
