Stockholm Furniture Fair is the biggest Scandinavian furniture fair. "Scandinavian design" has - similarly to Italian and Japanese - a clear, well-known identity. One can be sure that it will attract the attention of the industry and media. What were the highlights according to us?

A well known Italian illustrator, Federico Babina, has accepted a commission from Actiu. The Spanish company asked him to graphically reinterpret some of their office furniture. As a result of this collaboration abstract compositions direct attention from a piece of furniture to basic components of design: shapes, colours, textures and proportions.

The energy of Powiśle is a perfect background for one of a kind events and creative meetings. As an owner of three local showrooms we are pleased to be able to co-organise some of them. This time we celebrated the second birthday of WEDA, a creative production house founded by Ivan Vyrypaev and Karolina Gruszka. The event was attended by special guest Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Artists seldom leave theatre but this time they opted for an experiment in which we were happy to participate. In the new Marro space in Powiśle we held a rehearsal of the play "Wasps" ("Osy") written and directed by Ivan Vyrypaev, starring: Magdalena Boczarska, Dariusz Chojnacki and Marcin Dorociński.

During Orgatec 2018 Vitra presented one of the largest exhibition spaces. It provoked questions regarding the purpose of such a large presentation and, above all, the future of office design. How will space be understood? What will be the role of architect and designer?

We have opened a new, third, Marro space in Powiśle. Browarna, Lipowa and Dobra represent different aspects of Marro: from commercial to educational, cultural and artistic. Representatives of architecture studios, worlds of culture, art and business, as well as special guests Giulio Cappellini and Jonas Pettersson, all took part in the opening.
